Why isn't my favorite track listed?TLDR: With all of the sizes, finishes, materials, course configurations and other options we have available, it was just too much maintenance for one guy to keep up with. Rest assured, we have it on file or we'll draw it up for your order. We used to have 50-60 great tracks listed on our dropdown menu. However, some that we didn't have listed would be popular, and some that we did have listed would barely sell at all. Logistically, with all of the available sizes, finishes, materials etc, it was just too much for us to keep up with. It was just easier to list the size, finish and have you let us know what track(s) you want to order. We have it or we'll draw it up if we don't.

What is the rewards program? Our new rewards program is a cool new feature (that we're still learning ourselves). You have to be a site member in order to join the Rewards Program. That's easy! Just click the "Log In" up at the top right of the page and create an account or log in to an existing account. If you've purchased from us before, you're likely already a site member, so just log in the same way you did at checkout. Every order you place earns you points towards future discounts! 100 points earns you $5 off of a future order. You can even earn points on social media by following/sharing etc! Just be sure that you've logged in to plasma-tracks.com. Look for the "Member Rewards" button at the bottom left of the page. Look for the "Ways To Earn" tab and follow the menu items. Once you've logged in to plasma-tracks.com, shared/followed or purchased items, you'll find your available points in the "Member Rewards" panel under "Ways to Redeem". Use the slider to choose how many points you want to use (up to 2500 per order) and it will generate a discount code for you to apply at checkout. Copy the code (you can find it under "Your Rewards" at the top of the panel) and apply it during checkout.

Why does it say 2-3 weeks to ship?2022 UPDATE.... We're still seeing shipping delays... but not as bad as in late 2020. We're finally holding steady on material prices BUT triple + what they were in 2019. Acrylics are now starting to recover on shipping times. If you're ordering for a specific date (birthdays, holidays etc), we suggest a Minimum of 4 weeks before you need the item you're ordering. We carry very little inventory. With so many sizes available and over 600 tracks and different configurations on file, just about every track is cut to order. While we do typically cut daily, we don't always have room on the sheet for tracks over 16" so we work in the larger tracks as we can. 48" tracks can take up an entire sheet on their own OR we may have to hold off cutting a few days for more small track orders to come in to fill out the sheet. Another factor... on a good day, we're a 2 man crew. Typically "we" are a one man shop. On those days, Scott does all of the drawing, nesting, cutting, grinding and finishing, powder coat preparation and delivery/pickup, foam wrapping, packing and shipping. Scott also does all of the maintenance of the table and the shop. We also have our parent company, Izzy's Custom Cages, LLC and sister company, Cake's Metal Whimsies, a motorsport and metal fabrication shop and home decor business to process projects and orders. Typically from mid-October through late December, we process orders MUCH faster. Occasionally even same day shipping on smaller tracks.

What is powder coating?Powder coating is a dry finishing process that uses a spray gun, which applies an electrostatic charge to the powder particles, which are then attracted to the grounded part (Picture dust attracted to a TV). After application of the powder coating, the parts enter a curing oven where, with the addition of heat, the coating provides a more durable finish than liquid paints can offer, while still providing an attractive finish. Powder coated products are more resistant to diminished coating quality as a result of impact, moisture, chemicals, ultraviolet light, and other extreme weather conditions. In turn, this reduces the risk of scratches, chipping, abrasions, corrosion, fading, and other wear issues. It's tough. It looks great. And it lasts a long, long time.

What's the difference between bare steel and Aluminium tracks?Visually the bare steel and aluminium tracks are fairly similar. Side by side, the bare steel tracks are initially a little "brighter" in appearance. The aluminium tracks are roughly 1/2 of the weight of the steel tracks.. although even a 48" steel track is usually less than 12 lbs. The biggest difference is that the bare steel tracks WILL ultimately surface rust if left unpainted/uncoated. We DO use a metal protectant on all bare steel tracks to keep the moisture at bay during shipping and initial handling. Cost... Materials are up quite a bit since we started cutting tracks. Aluminum is a bit more expensive than steel and a little more time consuming to process after cutting, so the cost difference reflects this.

How do I mount my tracks to my wall? This is probably our number one question! And there are several different answers The "Nail Method" The simplest method is the old standard nail in the wall. Hold the track where you want it, put a few finish nails in a few strategic spots to hold the track up. Perfect for our 4" to 20" tracks. 3M Command Strips. This is our go to method for our medium 24" to 36" tracks. 3M Command strips are basically industrial velcro and are fairly quick to install as well as remove. Great for interior displays on smooth walls. Available at just about every big box store. (Be sure to read the installation instructions... you don't just stick them up on the wall and walk away) Weld on tabs. We don't install tabs as standard practice due to the wide variety of ways and rotations that our tracks are displayed. We do however, have weld on tabs and standoffs that we can install for an additional fee. 3D Printed wall mounts. Our newest addition are 3D printed wall mounts that install with your choice of drywall anchor (#6 screw) Available in various depths and colors. We do not include the #6 screws or anchors with our mounts. The mounts are a "snap" fit and fit snugly on your tracks.

Why do you charge a Trophy Design Fee?We get a lot of inquiries for trophies. It can take 1-6+ hours to mock up and finalize a trophy design. We charge $75.00 per hour for trophy design which rolls into the final cost of the trophies. In order to start the design of your custom trophies, we charge a small initial design fee of $20.00 Some projects never go past the initial design phase so that time ends up being lost on our end. The $20.00 design fee rolls into the final costs SO, it allows us to know that you're not just window shopping and we can go forward on designing your custom trophy. PayPal us HERE
